A common training for all the Interreg programs of the West Indies and Guiana

From October 29th to November 1st of 2018 the technicians of the program Interreg Caribbean, Interreg Amazonia and Interreg Saint-Martin reunited in Guadeloupe.

It was the first training session collectively organised by the Joint Administration of the program INTERREG Caribbean and the program INTERACT.

During this meeting, there have been many exchanges of good practices about the management and implementation of European programs.

Zoom on the project CARIFORT : Network of Caribbean Forts

The fort networking project concerns all the Caribbean Islands from Cuba to Trinidad and will progressively be extended to all the territories who want to join it.

The aim is to give the Caribbean culture a real economic dimension by strengthening its attractiveness through this network.

The representatives of the program INTERREG Caribbean, Interreg Amazonia and Interreg Saint-Martin visited the Fort Fleur d’Epée of the project INTERREG Caribbean CARIFORT as part of the training of the technicians of the program of November 1st, 2018.

The County Council –the lead partner of the project- has helped to discover one of the most emblematic historical sites of the Caribbean.
