The European week of regions and cities is a yearly event during which the cities and regions show off their capacities to create growth and employments, to implement the cohesion policy of the European Union and to demonstrate the importance of the local and regional level for the good governance of Europe.

Considering the exceptional situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the European week of regions and cities will last three consecutive weeks in October and each one will be dedicated to a topical subject: from October 5th to 9th: empowerment of the citizens, from October 12th to 16th: Interreg Cohesion and Cooperation, from October 19th to 22nd: Green Europe in cooperation with the Green Week.

Moreover the majority of the 500 sessions will be in a fully digital format.
